Our agriturismo in Umbria is perfectly situated for visiting the most beautiful villages: we are in a strategic location.

Visiting Umbria:

Small and tiny stone villages, walls, arches, medieval wells and aqueducts, abundant nature, ever-present hills, a mystical atmosphere, utter tranquility, and places that are never crowded.

And then culture everywhere: with artists, poets and stories that are lost until the dawn of time.

You will Love It.

Our agriturismo is conveniently located in the north-central part of Umbria.

Le Tortorelle is near the small medieval village of Umbertide.

The entrance to the highway is about 12 minutes away, and from there, you’ll be within an hour to all the villages in Umbria.

Why is our agriturismo well connected to the villages of Umbria?

Many agriturismos in Umbria are only accessible via white roads, which aren’t always easy to navigate.

Others are “scattered” across kilometers of hilly roads.

Our agriturismo is very convenient; all the roads are paved, and the main road is very close by.

Is it easy to travel around Umbria?

Visiting Umbria is easy.
(Luckily for us) there’s virtually no traffic.

The distances are “laughable” to many guests who stay in agriturismos…

When we say there’s a 35-minute drive, they often tell us: “that’s how long it takes me to go grocery shopping.”

From Le Tortorelle, you can be practically anywhere within an hour.

Why is an agriturismo the best choice for visiting Umbria?

Choosing an agriturismo to explore Umbria is the most authentic, genuine, and real way.

Historically, Umbria is a region of farmers.

Here, the so-called “casali” (ancestors of agriturismos) were the homes of the Umbrians.

Our region is rich in history, but also “modest”, less noble than its neighboring Tuscany, for instance. That’s why luxurious villas and mansions don’t particularly represent our region well.

What truly encapsulates Umbria, its farming history, and its charming simplicity, are the agriturismo.

If you want to breathe the real atmosphere of the region, choose a countryside agriturismo.
