At the Agriturismo’s “Restaurant”, the dinner is a delicious journey through local producers without ever leaving your table, every bite tells the story of Umbria. Delicious dishes! (so they say..)
When you think of an Agriturismo in Umbria with half-board, you might envision a delicious meal in a rustic setting. But what we offer at “Le Tortorelle” goes beyond that. Ours is a true immersion in the finest culinary products of Umbria.
The agriturismo’s intimate “restaurant” isn’t open to the public but is exclusively for our room guests, ensuring a calm and delightful atmosphere.
Quiet, subdued, casual, meticulous, private.
Dine surrounded by the nineteenth-century stones of the Agriturismo, either outdoors under the portico or in the ancient stable, depending on the season.
The lighting is soft, our table settings minimal to highlight the wooden tables while maintaining a countryside vibe. The centerpiece is aromatic herbs, the candle rests on pebbles, the bottle coaster is hand-decorated olive wood, there’s a cloth napkin, and rustic chairs come with a comfy cushion.
Every evening, the music is themed, from Italian songwriters of the ’60s to the great hits of the ’80s, and on to the “best” English-language artists like The Beatles or Elton.
We're sure a song will evoke a memory or emotion for you, and maybe you'll quietly hum along to a verse.
Craftsmanship has the added value of people, and we believe in it.
We use 90% high-quality Umbrian products, sourced from genuine agricultural businesses, true food artisans.
This makes every meal a tasting journey through the traditions and flavors of Umbria.
We personally know the producers, and just like us, they are driven by a Passion for Umbria and their products.
Collaborating “in-network” with the local economy is also a great form of sustainability, and you’ll be part of it.
Every dinner starts with an evo oil tasting.
Sourced from the best oil mills in Umbria, some of the oils you will taste boast prestigious awards, with one even crowned the "best evo oil in the world!".
Ours is a delightful yet healthy cuisine, without excessive cooking fats and with generous portions but not an "overindulgence". The quality of the products certainly makes a difference.
The goal is to delight the taste buds without weighing down your vacation.
From our garden, unique pestos such as "confit cherry tomatoes", "roasted eggplant", or "green pesto", made with excellent toasted dried fruit.
Slow cooking for nutritious dishes, intense flavors without excessive fats. Textures that melt in your mouth.
The foundation of the table, made with passion and long fermentation techniques.
Rye, spelt, type 2. We purchase from Molino Silvestri, which still grinds with stone.
Umbrian coffee (amazing, right?), cappuccino (even with plant-based milks).
Our Cakes: apple, chocolate, or cream.
Our homemade "tozzetti" cookies.
Bread: rye or rustic bread with a mix of flours including type 2.
Artisanal jams or the legendary Nocciolata (way better than Nutella!).
Homemade yogurt which you can pair with delicious cereals of various flavors and sweeten with local honey or fruit.
The organic apple juice (from real apples) from Città di Castello, just a few km away from us.
You can also try the “farmer's breakfast” with cheese, cold cuts upon request, fresh tomatoes, oil, and salt.
We always provide many tips about trips in Umbria during breakfast, so you'll be well-prepared to see the best of it.

+ Vegetarian Menu: it follow the same philosophy of the standard menu but we change the meat with umbrian legums, eggs or cheeses
+ Allergies or intolerances: such as lactose or other small intolerances, there are no problems
- Vegan: Umbrian milk and eggs are part of many breakfast and dessert preparations, as we have very few table seats we are unable to create a completely vegan line, sorry.
- Celiac disease or gluten-free: unfortunately we cannot manage them, we would not be able to instill our philosophy in this type of preparations given the extensive use of flours in our cuisine.
